The TELLA educational game is designed for tablets to introduce young children to fundamental mathematical concepts through interactive play. Created primarily for children aged 5 to 8, the application also offers engaging content for both younger and slightly older users.

TELLA features multiple sets of activities with sequential tasks, allowing for structured learning. Its design permits easy customization by educators or parents, who can control task visibility to tailor the difficulty level according to the child's developmental progress. As children advance and demonstrate mastery, new challenges are progressively unlocked, supporting a step-by-step learning experience.

The platform is versatile, intended for use in various settings such as classrooms or home environments—whether on a tablet at school or on a sofa at home. The game was developed by educators and endorsed by the Norwegian Directorate for Education and Training, ensuring alignment with pedagogical standards.

The development of TELLA involved collaboration between Bergen University College’s Centre for New Media in Norway, Statped Vest—Norway’s national service for special needs education—and Universitat Politècnica de València’s Campus d’Alcoi in Spain.
